4-Post Lift Configuration Question - Extra Height

Hello GJ Nation,

I have been researching lifts for a couple of years and I have not been able to find a 4-post lift available in a standard width/standard length/extra height configuration. The closest I have found is the Bendpak HD9XW, which is standard width and extra height but also (unfortunately) extra length. The extra 2' of length would have a huge negative impact on accessability in my garage. I need to stick to a standard length unit, but would love to find one with the extra height.

Direct-Lift used to make one like this (a friend of mine has one in this configuration), but since then they have changed it to an extra length style.

Thanks again!

pretty much because it needs a longer runway to hide the longer cylinder ram so the lift can go up higher. Have you looked at the HD7s, they are higher than the HD9s

Bendpak HD-7W. Adjustable width, high rise, short runways. Basically a de-rated HD-9 due to shorter length.
Also HD-7P if don't need adjustable width.

I have the same needs, and this is the conclusion I came to as well. Bend-Pak told me that the HD-7 is the same construction as the HD-9, but the shorter stroke cylinder can't lift 9k pounds with the standard pump they ship with all lifts. They also assume that anything heavier than 7000 lbs likely isn't going to fit on the short runways anyways.

Same thing they told me. I have a HD-9XW and was looking at the HD-7s

I don't know how I overlooked the Bendpak 7-series lifts, I guess I was under the impression that the lesser-rated lifts weren't ALI-certified (they are).

Thanks again Mike and everyone else who responded!
