Good morning All,
First of all, thank you for letting me join this forum, and I look forward to participating and providing some general help.
I bought a well-maintained and used 4-post lift off from a trustworthy source. We tested everything before making any kind of serious decision.
We hauled it back and have it set up at my house. For the transport, we had to disconnect the hydraulic line from the power pump/unit. I was planning on draining the oil and bleeding the system anyway...however, when we had it all connected and refilled the hydraulic oil reservoir and turned it on, the hydraulic cylinder was not moving at all.
The power unit turns on, and I can feel that it is pumping the oil to the line, but the hydraulic cylinder remains fully retracted (please see attached pic for reference). We need to have the cylinder fully extracted to connect the cables. I topped up the oil with new AW32 oil well over the minimum line, but still nothing. It pumps, and when I press the lowering lever, it does relieve the pressure build-up. I had the pump running for about 15 to 20 seconds to see if it would build up enough pressure to move. Nothing.
The hydraulic line is free from kinks and has no obstructions.
Is there some kind of lock on the hydraulic cylinder itself preventing it from freely moving?
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
