My 4 post lift will be installed on Wednesday. Should I have the lift installed with the entry post's close to the garage door opening or 3 feet back to allow for the ramp's?
I am getting an Eagle lift that has the post's at 104''wide and my garage door is 96''wide.

How deep is the garage? My garage is 20 feet deep, I installed the lift 3 feet back from the garage door so the ramps will fit with the door closed. But yet I still have enough room to walk on the back part of the garage behind the lift to access the motor.

The beauty of a 4-post compared to a 2-post is you can move it whenever you like. Get the casters if you haven't already.

Are you having it bolted down or just free standing. I have mine free standing and was able to roll it out the 9' garage door using the castor kit. Your door is a foot narrower but you should still be able to do it by cocking 1 post out first.

Keep the lift as close to the garage door as possible with the ramps installed because any space left behind the lift is wasted space.
