I have a Bendpak 4 post lift and I am in the process of redoing my shop floor. Question, can I store my lift outside and will the rain cause any problems or are there any precautions that I have to take. It will be outside for about two weeks.

I would wrap it up nice and tight with some moisture packs in the wrapping...

Should be fine.
I'd cover the motor well and spray the insides of the posts with a hefty coat of WD-40.

I guess I should have said the lift is fully assembled now. I have been using it for several years now. I am not taking it apart just rolling it out the door on to the parking pad.

If you have an EZUP put it over it and then use plastic for the sides. If it does not rain you will be fine. A lot of dealers here in Florida have them outside. Should be fine.

As said- cover the motor and I would put a trash bag over each column to stop water getting into them.

I had mine out for over a year. never covered the motor but should, motor worked great BUT I did have a problem with some developed rust on the posts that make it sticky. I had to put my hand in there with sum sand paper and clean it up and has now been in service for about 10 years never failed. but some precaution is better then my lazy ways. for my Rotory 9000 lb. lift.

I had mine outside for over 5 years. I live in san diego so it doesn't rain much. I build a wood box to fit over the pump. I'd spray paint over mild rust spots every couple years.
