Many times I have to move a non working car onto my 4 post lift. It's impossibe or very difficult to push it onto the lift ramps. Any detailed suggestions on how this can be done (other than calling several friends and offering them free beer) ?

I just asked this same question a couple weeks back, iam going to put a steel i beam in the concrete floor and weld a 2in receiver tube on that for my winch to be able to pin in when i need it or set a vise up same way make it a multi i beam. i tryed to winch from my 4 post and was sliding it off center when pulling a 85 f150 from about 100 ft out. ill post pics when iam done.

I my self would not attach to the lift. I be afraid it pull the lift over. I hook to an attach point in the slab.

I wouldn't try to use it to drag something with no wheels on there, but if its something that you can roll around yourself, it won't put enough stress on the lift to damage it

sounds good but I still would not put it on the hoist either, its just as easy to have a removable mount on the floor as it is to put a removable winch mount on the lift.
