Hi folks, I am looking to purchase a 4 post lift. Lots of discussion out there. I am particularly interested if any other lift besides Backyard Buddy. allows moving the lift with a car on it. I am not sure it is a big deal considering the price difference but worth talking about. Is there any other American made lift. Any problems or recommendations would be helpful. I am looking for a high lift, 7000-8000 lb capacity lift. I have plenty of ceiling height so that isn't an issue.

So you want a four post lift that you can push around while you have a vehicle lifted up on it?

I remember reading a post here where a member bought a 4post lift with the intent of putting the car on it and then turning the car sideways to be able to store one more car and stuff in the garage.
I recall him complaining how hard it was to move the lift with the car on it even on flat smooth floor.
If I recall he ended up upgrading the wheels which made it better but still tough

I can barely move the lift when NO car is on it. The lift is around 1800 lbs

It just wants to spring back to the original position

Just to be clear the caster kit most of them are not supposed to be used with a car on it. Check with the manufacturer first.
