The vise does have a small chip out under the one jaw as seen in the pic. This does not effect it's operation at all.
I fully took it apart, gave it a molasses bath along with a good cleaning followed by a long session with several different wire wheels before primer and paint in the obvious areas. It looks really good. Shipping will go in a medium rate box which I will over pack to ensure (as well as insure) it gets to your locale they way it left my hands.
