I was referred to you from Doitmyself from another site. I have a jack that will not release pressure and go down. I've dug into it but don't know how far to go to fix the problem. The jack is a craftsman 328 12060. Probably from the late 70's to the 80"s. The pivot points have been greased. I've dumped the old fluid out and replaced with ATF to flush out any debris. No luck! I then removed the release valve plunger and tried to let it down. No luck. I pulled out the ball bearing and rods or spacers (?) and still have to jump one the lift plate to get it to move down at all. It did start by going down with some effort but now will not give at all? I've tried to attach some photos to help you out? Any information is appreciated! The jack has no leaks.

I suspect it’s something out of whack with your release linkages or something blocking the release port. I would pull the entire release assembly and check for problems.

Are you suggesting removing the hydraulic pump and disassembling everything? I've never worked on this type of jack before. Just a little with snow plow hydraulics.

I figured it out. The main pivot pin from the ram to the lift plate has backed out a bit. Any advice how to realign the pin and push it back through the pivot points?
