Wow. $4.24 shipped with tax. Cant go wrong, I bought a set. I don't work on many VAG products but some day this may save me 4 dollars in hassle.

Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered a set. I have the VIM set that has the 3" long bits and thought I had a shallow set also but just checked and didn't see it. So ordered this for now and will replace with better quality if needed.

Yes there’s snap on but for the price of just the 3/8” set, you can buy 54 complete sets from the Amazon link that include 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”. But apparently not as they are sold out.

Are those torx sockets, or something different?

As noted earlier, there different

They're triple square, also known as XZN, 12 equally spaced tipped points, that are 90 degree angle. Used when high torque is necessary but proper fit is finicky and usually female side needs a good cleaning for best fit.

For $4, that's a you **** deal and for sure still worth it if only used once. Let us know how the work out when you get them?

Those are probably fine despite the price. The price is often low on a newly introduced brand(note that those only have 2 ratings thus far) when there's only a couple in stock.

looks like another rebrand of the same chinese set I bought years ago (I'm guessing I paid about $20 but not sure now). I've only needed them a handful of times but they've held up fine. I used one of the 1/2" drive ones for an application that required a lot of torque and it was fine. iirc there was one instance where they were too tall so I had to use a bit in a bit driver instead.

I try to avoid VAG products but I probably would've ordered a set at that price. It would cost that much in gas to go get one if needed. It cost me a couple of hours trying to find a 9mm Allen one day.

... It cost me a couple of hours trying to find a 9mm Allen one day.

Happened to me working on a Buell. Talk about a day crashing to a screeching halt... finally found a 9mm as part of a $3 allen key set in the bargain bin at a hardware store the next town over.

I still have my triple square stuff, and the last time I owned a VW was about 1997. You never know...

That brand rings a bell.
I bought a $4 thumb wheel ratchet set from that seller before Christmas. It arrived and I was puzzled by the large blow mold case, I opened it and it was lug nut removers. I complained and ordered another one, and got another set of lug nut removers, then I complained again and got sent the correct item. Though I probably got the better deal with the lug nut removers than the actual ratchet :)
