Does anyone besides SO make 4 way wrenches? The angles on the snap ons are perfect. I don't understand why they put a 15 degree on angle wrenches.. if I needed 15 degrees id use a combo! I have a feeling I'll be spending the money on the snap ons haha

Most angle wrenches are 15x60 because that's been the "standard" for years. S-O tried (and has been successful with) the 30x60 style.

S-K, MATCO, Proto, all the major brands do "angle wrenches". I love my Bonneys!

V8/ATD make them in 30-60

they are 60 and 15, so you have the shortest throw possible, allowing you to turn fasteners in the tightest spots possible.

that was always my understanding. flipping back and forth from the 60-15-60-15, flipping the direction each time.

the 30-60 wrenches actually do the same thing as the 15-60s as they will give you the same range of swing on a hex. the only difference really is the 30s will grab a fastener once in a great while when the 15 wont because of a strange angle.

Thanks for the picture they look like really nice wrenches! Just seems to make sense to use an angle other than 15 to me..

Thanks for that compliment!
When I'm really desperate, I pull out my double 75 deg Williams!:lol_hitti

^^ Would be interesting to compare the two styles side by side. Never thought to hard about it.

Cornwell, Martin. Proto all three sell them and Cornwell invented them, everybody else copied.

I had bought a set of the V8's they were old stock and still 15x60 so I sent them back. I was not impressed with the look of them, which was cheap. Maybe they improved them.

I ended up buying a set of Wright's to 15/16 & finished the set up to 1-1/4 with some Martin's (same exact wrench) I've used them some so far and my only complaint is they are a tad bulky on the open end's. Otherwise I dont have an issue with lack of 30*. I also have Crowfeet at my disposal.

They were also about 400$ cheaper then the comparable S-O set. I also have some metric proto's and the are also nice but a bit short in length.
