The progress continues and my project grew some legs. So far it is a 40' wide by 45' deep by 16' with 2 16x16 doors and 1 man door. We have some confusion on pricing by it is in the $42-45,000 range.

I had to go the Mansfield to the Zoning Board of Adjustments to get a height exemption which went through without issue.

Now to get building permits. They are asking for engineered plans for the building and the foundation. Normally the building plans come with the building so I will need to pay for these upfront, as I don't want to order the building until I have the permit in hand.

What seems to be strange is the request for engineered concrete foundation plans. Has anyone dealt with getting foundation plans?

My 50x80x16 with 3 doors was 40k with tax and delivery to my home. No snow load makes it a bit cheaper. But yes concrete plans are needed I paid 850 for them to be done.

Oh missed an important point, yes it is a steel building.

Hopefully the building supplier (metal mart) is used to this and we can get this project going. Its amazing when they seem surprised at the request...
