Re: 443

My first house was a 2 bedroom and 860sqft. We were fine in there with one kid at that. You should be in great shape if you're single. Cool set up and good luck with the build.

I love Chelan! I lived in Seattle for about 5 years and would make the drive to camp with some friends. This looks like it's going to be an awesome build!

Love the plans. Looks like you know you plan to spend all you time in the shop and on the deck!

No flood concerns? Whats the elevation difference between the build and the river? Around here the river levels vary by 25 feet.

Wow, is all I can say about the site. I don't know what you plan to do in the shop but a wash sink and or half bath might be handy. great build keep the pictures coming.

only thought would be to have a zone right in front of the garage doors as its own circuit. helps with recovery with doors opening/closing.

Washington State is really a beautiful State. I was stationed at Fort Lewis in the early 70's and the wife and I loved it there. We actually thought about settling there but since we have family back here, we ended up coming back here.

Looks like a wonderful area to build, the view is gorgeous. Be sure to post a lot of pictures. It almost makes me want to talk to a travel agent, fly out there and come help you.

Incredible site! One question though, the elevation doesn't match the plan view exactly. I see sort of a "1 car garage" off to the right on the elevation but its a deck in the plan.

The flood concern should be pretty minimal there. That whole area is pretty well controlled by dams. It does look like he has a bit of a bank too.

Looks like an awesome project though! We dont get up that way to often since it gets packed in the summer. Been wanting to make the trip in the winter

The area is between two dams and there's a 100' setback from the riving and the highest the water has risen in 100 years is 12'

The property has a 6% slope to the river and I Cut into the hill and took the dirt and built up the low side.. I will have to dig down to natural soil for the concrete but it works fine!!

You maybe can see better here how i leveled it off. The one pictures show it when it was 30 x 60 then we cleared more towards the driveway

I'm assuming the 'front' of the garage is away from the river?

If so....you need to put in a covered back porch.....

I keep looking at the bench overlooking the river....I just want to sit there with a nice hot cup of tea (winter time) or cold beer (summer time) and overlook the river.

Very cool! I have some great memories of water-skiing on Lake Entiat, a little bit downriver from you. The property owner had a gorgeous, landscaped yard, a great dock, and an 18' travel trailer on the lot...all we needed.

Beautiful spot you have there! We go to Chelan a couple of times a year. Heading over very soon for a little fishing in fact. Will be fun following along with your build.

FINALLY Made some headway on this project
Got the excavator rented and a guy to run it.
Dug footings, levaled, graveled, had the plumbers show up and started foam
Hoping to play hooky from work the rest of the week to finish foam and start 9 zones of pex.
Ill try and check updated and get things done at the same time
