Hey guys, I am new to the thread and was wondering if someone could help me out.
I am building a 80 x 40 shop with 16' walls. I want to put and 8' storage space across the back with a bathroom and office. Above this will be the loft for the bar and a pool table. I was wondering if anyone has done this. The loft will be 40 feet across the back and 20 feet comming out into the barn.

This shop will also be finished, (insulation and steel) so i am hoping i can still make the pole barn worth it instead of going with stick built.

I have a loft in my build below. A bit different that what you want but it was designed into the building with poles added for the loft support that also eliminated a truss. Where in the world are you and do you have a pole building company near that can help with the design?

Larry did you find insulating your shop with roll bag was cheaper than batts? I live in Ontario, Canada and the building department wants some crazy engineered design to build the loft which would be overkill and cost alot more money. The weight load will never be close to what they desire. They think i will put storage flats up there with a bunch of weight. Do you know any pole design companies in Ontario
