Just picked this set up last night but haven't dated it yet. It's looking like a Snap-on no. 44 socket set but has more tools. The ratchet is a no. 71-10 and the sockets are the SW series. Looks like a 1953 date stamp on the sockets. It's a heavy duty set that was purchased by a gent that worked at the a Anheuser Busch plant in St. Louis. He maintained the bottling equipment at the plant.

Sockets are 3/8 - 1-1/4.

Changed the date to 53'. Thanks Twersty

nice find. your Snap-on K-80 Utility Case configuration is set up nicely on the inside and accommodates well. mine houses a WW2 Snap-on 1/2" drive set.

Thanks guys. The 71-10 ratchet and sockets are bomb proof. They will last generations if cared for.

BSG1 - lets see a pic of your set.

Nice find, I have the same box that had a bunch of odds and ends in it. It does have what looks to be most of the original larger sockets, as well as a few 3/8 Ferret pieces all dated 34/35. None are in good shape, though.
