2" foam under pex

"concrete walls"? Do you mean in place of the block? I don't know, not my game.

Fill - don't know either. Many dump trucks worth of sand many more to come.

Progress has slowed with lack of materials, but we are getting somewhere.

Only 4 feet. Looks like they'll have it done today. They began siding today also.

It was plenty of bricks, and only on the sides toward the street. :)

that's a good looking shop that you built. I built a similar size shop and I went with two garage doors of the same size.

Thanks. I look forward to getting the interior going. I guess electrical is first.

Did some interior work today. Ran a bunch of Romex, bunch of insulation, and built 25 feet of workbench.

Drain. I plan on washing cars in one of the bays.

Got it. I went back and looked through the pics of your floor and never saw it. The picture with all the pex has it, I thought it was something just sitting on the floor. It didn't don on me that was a drain set at the future floor height. :lol_hitti

Looks very nice. How much clearance do you gain with the scissor trusses in the middle?

Nice build, I'm just ~15 miles west of you.

Just checked yours out... I almost went the pole route... Can't really tell you why I didn't for sure, but I bet part of it was not wanted to exacerbate the neighbor issue/zoning... You know all about that :headshake

Ordered up some epoxy-coat. Hope to put that down this weekend.

Well, I placed the epoxy today. What a chore. 2 etching sessions, many rinses, blows, squeegees, etc. Had my roller extension break right in the middle of an application. It was tons of fun crawling around on my knees trying to roll out the remaineder of the batch before it set. Then to top it off I got a case of the bubbles. The coating looks fine, but I am going to ask epoxy-coat what my options are to help out with the bubbles.

The spots in the picture that look like big white chips are the popped bubbles.

Things are moving along. A little wiring at a time. Still have a couple 220 pulls to do and all the interior lighting, but progress is happening. Most importantly I have functioning garage doors with a cold beer fridge behind them.

What is the other bay spacing like with the lift in the middle? Interested in seeing how walk space is with vehicles in the shop, Im considering a similar size. Awesome build!

Bays are each 13 feet. Lift is in wide configuration at 12 feet, so you do the math with your vehicle widths. Eough room for me, but you won't be swinging a sledge hammer between 2 vehicles for sure.

Scissors trusses are great for putting a lift under. I used the same idea in 1998 for my garage and I have a drive-on 4 post lift.

Great looking garage, nice work getting her up and running and functional. I'm about 30 miles to your South.

Congrats and keep the updates coming.

Very nice, I am also in Bay City. My next building will be about that size...also 1500 sqft limit unless I go for a variance. Planning 30x50 with a lean to unless they count that as part of the building.

Send me a PM. I wouldn't mind coming to see it sometime to gauge size and your layout if that would be ok.
