Wow, looks very nice! That is a great size as well, are you going to do much finish work on the interior? You also gotta tell us what you are going to do in it.
I did a 24 x 30 years ago with a couple of helpers, now days I just don't have the time or the will to do much more than car projects.

I thought I was looking at my shop. I have a 30x62 that looks almost like yours. When I had a business in Hattiesburg,I looked at those trusses in Collins. I put up osb on the walls as you did, but mine is insulated. I also built shelves just like you did.
I had a company build mine. I was going to do it, but after I priced all the materials, they put it up for $1000 more and I did not have to touch it. It would have taken me a couple of months to do it and they did it in a week. I was 105* that summer too. It has pretty much the same trusses that you have.
Where are you located?

I am up in the Delta now.
I put heat and air in mine and love it. I would like to put some more insulation in mine to cut the power bill and cut the cool down and warm up time.

Good job, I live in Picayune and want to do one in 2012, glad to see some "locals".
Priced "farm barns" out of Hattiesburg and also found a co in Ark that will do a 30x40x10 for $12,900.00, 30x50x10 for $15,700.00 which includes cement, insulation, all metal work doors and windows. W/the price of cement those seem like good deals but I like how you did your posts above the cement and not in the ground, concerned about termites. Should I be?

We are building a 40 x 80 barn with used chicken trusses but ours have a 5' leg (2" x 6" channel) that are on the outside edges of the trusses. Our biggest obstacle is how to get the trusses up to the 16' height to set on top of the 6 x 6 posts. How did you do it? Did you use a lift? A bunch of friends? :) Your shop looks great! We are getting ready to start...

Nice shop, Aubrey. My family (father's side) is from Kokomo and I lived there and Hattiesburg for several years. Went to school at USM. Are you anywhere near Kokomo (halfway bewixt Columbia and Tylertown)?
