I am in the process of designing a 40x60 building. It will be used for mostly storage. Now I have been considering walling off a area for working on a care, office and a place for our workout equipment. Has anybody out there done the same and can I see some pics.

Thanks much

How much shop space do you need? I'm building a 40x60, split in half... will be a 16' door on each half. One side for the shop, the other side for boat/trailer/stuff/etc.

I previously had a 30x40 for a shop, so I have a good idea of the space it will have :)

I'm am currently building a 40x64x16 (very cheap to go the extra 4'). I will have a 14x40' loft in the back (2 scissor trusses over it). Planning a 14x20 work out room and a 14x20 storage area. Underneath with be a 14x14 enclosed room for gunsmithing/reloading. The remainder of the area under the loft will be toolboxes and workbenches.

Very nice and thank you. Think I am going with a 42x60, 14ft, 12ft in the middle and a man door on gable end. On the back side I will have a 10ft door then wall off a 20x42 shop. What did you finish your ceiling with, looks very nice
