Very nice. I wonder how close you are to where I used to live. I was about 4 miles from the Route 15 and 234 intersection.

Yeah, I'm right at $50k as you see it.
I'm west of Warrenton, out 211. Close to Skyline Drive. Probably about 40 minutes from that intersection.

Beautiful property and the pole garage turned out great.
I'm not a fan of lots of windows, but I do love the area. My house has tons of windows, so I get the view in there all the time.
I snapped this picture from my backyard about a month ago.

Yep, that's a little farther out. Still, nice area...lots of green and trees. I miss all the fun summer activities just goofing off and finding stuff to do out in the sticks.

The S2000 was kind of an impulse buy. I wasn't looking for one, but this one came up for sale locally 4 years ago. It's a 2001, garage kept, and had 29k on it at the time. It's bone stock except for a new Robbins top I put on this past summer. It has about 40k on it now. Nice little car that I'll probably have forever.

Nice looking pole barn. I am also in VA and looking to build something similar. What company/builder did you go with? My property isnt to far from you In Warrenton near catlett. The price you gave with 15k towards concrete. Did that include the front apron also? I see by the inside pics of the Barn you are also a Fireman.

Fetterville Sales was the builder. The company is out of Pennsylvania and the local salesman is out of Harrisonburg.
The concrete cost about $13k. It is 5", 3500psi, fiber reinforced. 40x60 inside and 45x30 outside.

I bought a lift. It's a used 10k pound Raptor/Forward lift. Paid $1400 for it, a half ton high rise transmission jack and an underhoist stand. I gave the stand and jack to my buddy who helped me transport the lift (and is going to help me install it).
An electrician is supposed to come Friday to install a 125A subpanel, but we're getting a pretty good snowstorm right now, so that's probably going to be delayed. The quote for 175' of wire, panel, breaker, and labor is just over $1000.

Nice build. I've got a 40x60x14 w/ 16x60 leantos off each side. So I have to ask what you did for drainage --- between the roof area and the outside slab, that's a pretty big collection area for water and I didn't notice any drain tile going in etc. We have the added issue of sliding snow piling up in front of the door (that's why I went with the leanto on one side). I put my other door (12x18 - to allow my swather in) on the gable end of the building.

Got some lights up a few weeks ago. I hope to maybe have a divider wall, insulation, and a heater in place for next winter. It gets chilly out there.
I put some lights up a few weeks back. They're the WalMart $10 T8s. I bought 12, 1 was bad out of the box. The 8 that we hung are working great. I plan to put another 8 on the other side of the lift. That will total 16 in a 20x40 section in the garage.
Here's our heavy girl in for an oil change and tire rotation this afternoon. Love having a lift!

Six year update.
I finally got my act together and built a wall to divide the interior space. I had an insulator come and install foam board on the remaining 3 walls and ceiling. Looking forward to having a workspace that can retain some heat.
Over the last 7+ years, I've accumulated a lot of stuff. Having to clean out this room in preparation for the insulation install has allowed me to hit the reset button. When I move stuff back in, I hope to organize things a bit better.
The rest of the building is a complete disaster because that's the holding spot for everything that used to be in this room. Ha. I also am in the middle of finalizing the install of an old 4 post Bend-Pak over there. It's a mess.
For now, I have just a 5KW electric heater, but planning to install a 24k Mr Cool in a month or so.
Come back in in another 6 years when I give another update.

Excellent. I like that size. I like the price, too. I'm working the early stages of something similar, more residential aspirations.. out in Frederick County.

I doubt I could build it for the same price these days. Maybe if I DIY'd.
I had 40x60 in my head as being something I'd never outgrow. I had it built with 12' ceilings because I knew I wanted a lift. I did not look into steel buildings.

The pink is Owens Corning Foamular. Not sure what brand the white is, but it's like regular styrofoam with foil on one side. It's all 3" thick.
I didn't really dictate what was installed. The insulator came by for a look, made a recommendation, gave me a quote, and I had him do the work.
It has made a world of difference. I was out there yesterday for a few hours and turned my little electric heater on for about an hour. Brought it from the low 30s to the mid 50s. So much more pleasant to be out there. I do want to buy a wall mount fan (or two) to circulate the air so that the heat doesn't settle at the top (or cold at the bottom this summer once I get the mini split installed).
