Installing a 440000 btu ng pool heater. The heater is located about 150 ft from the gas meter. Currently there is 1" tracpipe installed. From what I know that won't suply heater. The gas company will install a new, higher pressure, meter. Then it's my understanding I will have to install regulators at the house and pool heater. What sort of regulators do I need? Any downsides to this sort of install?

You will probably be getting a 2psi meter, but ask the gas company to confirm. You will need some regulators that go from 2psi down to standard ounces. Those are readily available at any local plumbing wholesaler.
