Sure. But unfortunately retailers like Ash have to price based on what they currently pay, and not discount prices to sell at a loss in anticipation of future currency fluctuations.

Anyway... Felo tools are purchased from Bondhus is in the US, so I am guessing a weakened Euro will result in more profit margin for Bondhus, and not lower wholesale prices for Ash.

These prices are basically as cheap as you can get Felo right now in the US from anyone reputable. You're free to speculate on future pricing, but I think it's fair to say this is a fair deal right now and a good time for most of us to invest in more Felo!

ishiboo, I'm not sure that "speculation" is the best word to use for the current currency fluctuations. The European Union is in dire straits with Greece, Cyprus, and soon Italy Spain and more going into bankruptcy. This all influences the value of the Euro (and the price of tools imported here). We might not be far behind them, but at least for now they are falling faster than we are.

Hi, I would recomend the 400 series or the 500 series. I wouldn't go with the 550 series if it is for all around use, since the shafts go through the handle and make contact with the steel cap you could get shocked if working with live electrical.

I ran prices on over 50 items tonight. All the prices looked good. It took everything I had not to order that big 17 piece rack. I have far too many screwdrivers as is especially after Wilde Wednesday. I picked up 3 torx ergonics though. I have never used any Felo but they sure look good.

Well, like I said, I just got it 10 minutes ago, but first impressions are everything.....

It is kinda hard to describe, but it is not completely flexible. It is stiff, and just the right amount of flex. It also only allows the shaft to move to about a 45 degree angle. With those two features, I like it because it would allow you to have control over the tool. Also, there is not much play twisting side to side, it is just like using a solid screwdriver.

When I ordered it, I kinda just got it for the novelty, but I can see it being very useful.

Anything else specific you would like to know?

I'm HONESTLY glad to hear you are happy with your purchase. And I'm not picking on Ash or other US sellers.

But the fact is that purchasing European tools while the Euro is falling in value, while keeping prices the same, hurts us all from the standpoint that these European manufacturers think they can charge us any price they wish. In fact, a US seller/distributor I know has been trying to negotiate lower prices due to the fall in the value of Euro in comparison to the dollar, however, one German manufacturer had the balls to raise prices in the current situation. I would have thought a SMART manufacturer would have at least preferred Dollars over Euros, but to think all they have to do is raise prices to the US consumer is downright stupid from their own perspective, IMO.

If we all become informed consumers, wait for prices to fall, then this BS will end and we will all be happier with the lowered realistic prices in the future. Lowered US prices takes away NOTHING from Euro manufacturers! Even keeping prices the same adds more money to their pockets. Raising US prices puts MUCH more money (Euros) in their pockets.

I'll shut my mouth now before someone takes offense at my attempt to be helpful again.
