Just wondering if anyone has a Cayenne heater and how to wire it up,hopefully a few pics, the wiring diagram doesnt show any grey wires and there are 2 of them that need to be hooked up to something?

Any help here would be great!!!

I have the same unit. Here's pics of my wiring

I hooked up the 2 gray to the hot, and the 3 white to the neutral.

Here and here are scans of the diagrams that came with mine

Hope that helps,

Are the white and red wires with the green and blue wires cut off, coming out of the brown casing for the thermostat?
And did you vent it through the ceiling or the wall?

Those pictures are exactly what I was looking for Thanks FastEddyG!!!!!!

Glad I can help. I had the gas and venting done for me as I am lucky to know what I don't know :) They chiseled out the brick perfectly for the B-vent to go through the wall, which was a big concern for me.

That's correct, those wires are to my thermostat. It is vented horizontally through the wall, since over half of the area above the garage is living area, and the rest has no attic space. So horizontally venting was by far the easiest method. Luckily where it was vented was far enough back (from the front) that there wasn't a low soffit so we didn't have to have it stick out so far.

Here's a few more pics of my install (electric isn't hooked up in these pics) that I hope help.

PS, the previous owner was the gem that tapped into the ceiling light fixture and ran wall mounted conduit to power 8 or so quad outlet boxes. I'll be fixing that when I get my subpanel in the garage.

Thats how Im going to vent mine also, thanks so much for the great pics and the fast replys as I am doing this tomorrow.
I was wondering what are the pieces called that you have the heater hanging from that look like angle iron,I think I will also go that way too,if I can find some of that.

From what I've read and the pics I've seen, it's the preferred method to hang the heaters. The guys I hired brought the pieces with them. I did see the same components at Lowes and Home Depot next to the conduit, so try there first.

Good luck tomorrow and share your project pictures :)

EDIT, let me clarify. The galvanized brackets attached to the furnace came with my furance. The green steel attached to the ceiling joists they brought, along with the clips that the threaded rod thread into and hang/rest in that green steel. The threaded rod then is connected to the provided galvanized angle iron with two nut/washer combos (1 on top one on bottom).

Unistrut is the name of the components to hang it. See the following pages for some pics:

4" b vent is the horizontal piece that goes through the wall. They reduced it to 3" to connect to the unit.
