There are different lefse, some eaten as cake and then it with sugar and butter, for example.

Our lefse can be eaten for afternoon meal, can be eaten for breakfast or supper. Certainly with meat, patties, meatballs and egg may be used. Our lefse contains potato, wheat flour, rye flour and salt.

DYPEN: so i'm guessing you are saying that car that is 2 feet in the air is yours or you drive it too? how fast was your co driver going to get it that high in the air coming up a hill? nice picture.

also nice picture of the Lefsa and my niece makes it fresh for family holiday gatherings and my mom goes to the local Norwegian bakery when she brings some for us.

my wife is a pretty fair cook and she makes us swedish pancakes (crapes) about once or twice a month we usually eat with fruit or syrup or sometimes just with a little sugar. i'll get you the recipe if you ask if you don't already have a good one and it's just egg, flour and milk (i think).

have a great weekend and keep posting cool pictures of cars, food, garages and your favorite sites for all of us that might not ever get to see them live.

thanks in advance

"drivesitfar" Thank you for your feedback and a good weekend to you too. The pancakes look good! Pancakes we eat her is sometimes with slightly different on, sometimes sugar, or just blueberries, sometimes with berries and vanilla ice cream as dessert and sometimes only with peas soup as a small meal. Nice to hear that you are eating lefse.

Yes it was my car and I am the driver, it is not really uphill here but we run the car flat-out on gravel road and here we go over a small higher point that the car jump around 40 - 50 meters. In rally the end time counts and it is faster with the wheels on the ground and the shortest line.

The photographers are of course at the most spectacular places to sell their photo even if they have to go far into the woods, oh yes I buy the photo :)

Dypen: any updates on your shop/garage/bakery or race car to brag about and/or post up some more pictures.

speaking of food one of our favorite food trucks opened up a restaurant to serve their fish tacos and fish and chips and i opted for the fish and chips tonight. i usually get the fish tacos with halibut, but tonight got the beer battered cod and instead of swapping out the fries for cole slaw had them both.

i bet you have some good fish and chips in your area or do they serve that in Norway?

here's a picture of our view from out of my living room window. sort of looks like your area?

cheers

Dypen: sounds like fun and a lot of work too. if you want to post up pictures of your other projects around your house and of course racing pictures or just scenery around your country it will keep your thread alive and members will keep checking in so when you might have a question about garage or race car you might get some quick help from us.

best of luck with the racing and taking care of all your family's obligations.

cheers

From wikipedia:
The Chang Jiang 750 motorcycle is based on the original 1956 Soviet IMZ (Irbitski Mototsikletniy Zavod) M-72 which itself was derived from the earlier German 1938 BMW R71. Nearly all of them have sidecars. They are often erroneously referred to as BMW "replicas" when in fact, they are derivatives of the IMZ M-72.

Dypen: very cool bike and would you drive your bride around in that or was the side car more for looks and not very safe?

just a little warning from one member to another here's what can happen to ruin your day or a nice bike if you have a person in a car not paying attention or that is on their cell phone. this was a few blocks from our house and that Harley on the ground is no little thing or cheap. the rider has many broken bones, but he'll survive and guessing his bike won't ever be the same.

cheers and keep posting pictures of your stuff or your country as you have time to.

A friend of mine was at Ikea in Oslo every day for almost 14 days to buy items for a kitchen from Ikea returning goods corner, his tactics seemed and there was very little he had to buy at full price to get a complete kitchen at his home. I do not even have that opportunity because of the job and the priority of my free time :)

Ikea's return policy is that everything that comes in return, whether it is in original packaging, not packaging, not damaged or damaged, it will be sold from returning goods shop corner to far below full price

i'm in the same position as you, i dont have enough free time or i would give it a try! i have priced it all up and i feel the cost isnt too much and i am willing to pay to get exactly what i want! its a good rule for any other purchases i may have though!

Purchased a used cheap large steel cabinet on wheels with adjustable retractable shelves that I possibly will have in the garage in the right corner at the back door ... The picture is taken where I bought the cabinet.

I don't visit The Garage Journal as often as I used to, but that doesn't mean it's quiet in the garage. I have several motorcycle projects that I am working on at the same time as I upgrade the interior and tools all the time :)IMG_0132.jpegIMG_0133.jpegIMG_0134.jpegIMG_0135.png

Desire to expand the garage / outbuilding a little...

The garage is 42 m² plus outbuilding of 30 m² where I want to extend the garage roof to connect to the outbuilding.

Today, a washing area has been arranged behind the garage and with a drive-through gate in the back wall of the garage that makes this possible.

In theory, there is a roof, two walls plus a door between the outhouse and garage that is needed to utilize the area.

Attached is the first picture of how it is planned to extend the garage roof to connect it to the outbuilding, picture two shows how it is today with two buildings, separate garage and outbuilding.

Thinking steel beam in the ridge of the extension with space-built roof trusses to get full ceiling height inside the extension.

Intending to do everything myself but not sure if I can do the job, another solution would be to involve myself (cleaning boy) with a professional carpenter.

Have bought a tool cabinet with drawers and a workbench that gets a fixed place by the door at the back of the garage, has wheels so it can be moved around in the garage.

Also working with a work table that will be hinged to the wall and folded down when not in use, what I will use is an old table top that I have used until now with two saw stools. The saw stools are replaced with something more solid in 2x4 inches that will hold the table top.

Nearing end of work table that hinged to the wall and folded down when not in use, what I will use is an old table top. Have screwed a 2x4 to the wall and the tabletop is hinged, screwed and glued a frame under the table to stiffen it. Two legs are hinged and swing in when the table is folded down.

Tomorrow I have to pick up a 1x2 of 1.52 m which is screwed and glued in the middle under the table top and it is finished. Yes, we must have a coat of paint :)

Do you think you might need an angle brace(s) on those legs to keep them from collapsing when you're using the bench?

Just a thought......

In place braces in the middle of the table top and securing between the table legs so they have no chance of collapsing. Have bought paint (gray color like the cabinets in the garage) to paint the white wood on the work table and the shelves above the ceiling that I put up from leftover materials a number of years ago.

There was no description for the pictures. Small job with compressed air supply, fixed hose drum under the workshop bench for faster access.

Have two small cheap compressors connected together instead of one big more expensive one. Have to install a power supply under there so I don't have to have the cable over the workshop bench.
