Hello all,

Long time creeper here, and finally am able to post. Started out thinking of 30x30, but everyone says go bigger... so i bumped it out 15 extra feet, and added to Lean-tos. So final dimensions are 30x45x14, 1x 30x12x11 Lean-to, 1 45x12x11 Lean-to, and a 12x16 office on end of lean-to. The main building also has a scissor truss. I will add a few pics to bring my build up to date. Currently the post frame building is complete, and the interior is insulated, and sheeted with corrugated metal. I have routed the power out to the building, but have not hooked it up. Next on the list will be pad prep, and sloping/grading around the perimeter, then electrical routing, will be using EMT, and surface mounted boxes. 20180702_110020.jpg20180811_093911.jpg20210607_202633.jpgIMG_20211016_173401.jpg20210609_185052.jpg

So this brings us up to date, funny how we usually get about 10 days of rain per Summer where i live in southeast BC, on the Montana Border, and it decided to rain throughout the entire build, to say it way a mess would be an understatement.
I Just found out my overhead door should be here in the next couple weeks, so am exited about that, as it was ordered back in November......
I will do my best to keep the build up to date, and Im sure I will have plenty of questions throughout the next few months!

Thanks for looking!

I like the color combination you chose, anything special going on inside when finished ? Really is a handsome looking building.

Thanks all, yes I am definitely blessed to live in a beautiful place.

The bump out will be an office, and reloading room.
I have a ledger board installed on the back end of the shop for a mezzanine, and am currently trying to design its build, and the stairs. It will have low overhead on the sides, but will be more than sufficient a few ft off the walls due to the scissor truss. I need to finalize my design soon so I can incorporate it into my pad prep/design. (Any thoughts?)
One thing that I regret was not going 36' wide, and having 2 overhead doors.....Screenshot_20220316-222257_Gallery.jpg

Wow, how did I miss this?

Welcome neighbour! I'm farther north than you, but grew up down your way and still know quite a few folks in South Country.

Nice shop! Did you build it yourself or hire out?

Looks great! What is up with the offset J channel above the right hand side of the garage door?

J channel was for a different style door opener.

Got the Slab poured, literally had about a wheel barrow worth of cement excess. Got the expansion joints cut, and ran my first few circuits. Finally can start to move in....
