What a transformation! Good price on the building as well.

What does the outside look like now?

I do not have any current pictures that show the whole front of the building, but it looks about the same. The only thing we have done on the exterior is patch the whole in the front wall, replace the glass block window, and we painted the bare block grey. The gas company also ran a new service line and installed a new meter so the old pipes aren't sticking up anymore. We ran out of warm weather to paint the exterior, that will be one of the first projects in the spring.

Well it was a reasonably productive weekend at the shop, although the pictures don't really show it. I was over there most of the day Saturday and Sunday. I put down the RaceDeck flooring in the bathroom, installed the toilet, light, baseboard heater, thermostat, and made the electrical connections for the hot water heater. All the lights for the main shop areas were controlled by breakers, so I put 6 light switches in. I also fixed the latch on the front door to help secure it. Several hours were also spent Saturday morning picking up some stuff I bought from HGR Industrial Surplus.

The main project I finished though was the 2 post lift installation. It took alot longer than I planned, I had help standing up the first column, but everything else was done by myself and forklift. The instructions left alot to be desired, I probably spent more time figuring out how things were supposed to go than actually working. The next lift install I end up doing will go alot quicker though. I am very happy with the lift, it seems to be excellent quality and is very sturdy. The Neon is the only car I have had on, and granted it is well below the 10,000 pound capacity, but nothing flexed or moved at all on the lift it is rock solid. Here are some pictures:

Thanks for all the info. I didn't realize they had the S/R version. That looks like it would be real competitive in the racing I do. Looks like you had a great start to your ZX2. Did you keep all the performance parts to build another one?

I sold the header and exhaust off that I had purchased as I'm going to be going custom for that but I have everything else. I still have to get pistons (Wiseco 12:1) and oversize valves then it's a matter of machine work, bearings, and seals then reassembly. Then I have to get the ITB setup finished and a short mani made for that and I'll be good to go.

The Focus that the cams came from ran a 12.9 with similar mods in the 1/4 n/a with no power adders.
