Made this table over the last week.

Top is 1.5" thick sinker cypress.

Post is a cut down torque tube from a '48 Ford banjo rear - spare parts that have been hanging around for 5 years, finally decided to do something with it. Kept the speedo pickup on the tube, its near the top, so most people will never see it. Sort of a treat for the curious car guys who might look under there.

Table will live on my covered back patio, need to pick up some bar stools to make suitable beer drinking location.

Pic of the speedo gear box

Started signing and dating these goofy pieces I make at the Missus's suggestion.

10-year old son has already claimed this as his.

Have another larger table for the patio in the works, need to cut a few brackets and pick up more cypress to pull that one together.

Nice job. I agree with the Mrs. on signing and dating pieces. It was really cool when I gave a signed and dated desk that my grandfather had made for me to my Niece.
