Hi Everyone: I came across this ratchet and am wondering if anyone here can help identify it. 5/8 drive 14 1/2 inches long. It says up on one side and down on the other side with an arrow on both sides as well. I see a U 1506972 stamped on the side of the arm with an 8B7 as well ... thanks for anyone’s input in advance.

I think that might be a jack handle. The same wrench is currently listed on eBay, but they do not give any helpful information. I did see a similar wrench, but in gold cadmium plating and with a different drive size and it was said to be for a GM jack.

EDIT-- eBay listing under the title Vintage 5/8" Hex Drive Ratchet Unmarked

Hmmmm... that makes sense since it says ‘up’ and ‘down’ on each side... I thought the workmanship looked to good to be too old. Thanks for the response. Harry
