5/8" or 3/4"?

Good day everyone. I am wondering if there is a big difference between using 5/8ths T and G plywood versus 3/4 " T and G plywood on my mezzanine floor. My joists are 2 by 8 on 12 inch centers. Thank you

Yes, Huge difference. I would say 3/4 is enough if your actually storing things

I put 5/8 on roofs not floors. Normally lay two layers of 3/4 down for floors in opposite directions, but that would be overkill for a mezz

5/8 would be enough for me on a mezz with only 12" joist spacing. Plywood is expensive.

If you end up with particular point loads (shelving legs, etc) you can put other scraps of wood down first.
