5 Gallon bucket lids???

So I keep a 5 gallon bucket out by my firepit attached to my firewood wagon. It holds all my fire starting materials. I bought a Gamma2 screw on lid because it was supposed to be easy to open and weatherproof. And the gasket has totally failed and I have water in the bucket. But even before I had water in the bucket, I didn't like the lid because it has recesses and rain water collects in those. Total mosquito breeding ground. So I'm looking for a better solution. Either a better, water sheading lid, maybe like one of the bucket seats? Or a totally different container option. Something big enough to hold a bottle of lighter fluid, some fire clicker wands, a box of Duraflame starter packs, etc.

I'd suggest an ammo can as well. One of the bigger 50 cal cans or a 40mm would probably do it.

I have a bucket toilet seat lid and wouldn't recommend it for this. Mine doesnt really clip onto the bucket and it doesn't seal at all. Works for its purpose, but I don't think it would be good for this

Pool chlorine buckets have really good screw on lids, but they will have a recess that holds water, at least all the ones I have seen do

I'd get a drybag to put the stuff in and just put that inside the existing bucket. Maybe put a small hole inside the bucket on the bottom so any water that does get in can drip out.

You could also look at the dog food bins. I like the ones by vittle. I use them for both dog food and the pellets for my smoker. They have similar lids, though, so you might not like the recesses.

Snaps on about as hard as an actual bucket lid, though. Smoothish top, won’t retain water. Doesn’t seal, but any water on top is going to drip off, not run uphill in to the bucket.

Why not get a round plastic dish pan or drain pan and turn it over?
The inverted plastic pan will keep the rain drops from falling into your bucket.

I carry a torch out to the campfire and usually light off cardboard scraps, but I keep my lump charcoal, chips for smoking and the lighter in a small deck box.

3/4” hole saw to cut a few drain holes in the bottom of the bucket.

Lay the bucket on it's side so water doesn't pool?

I have one of those. The bail clamps the lid down hard. It's not coming off accidentally.
