i have been running into 5 point torx plus more and more at work. thus i need to buy a set. who sells a set of screwdrivers and who has socket sets? i do not use them a ton so at this time i think im trying to stay off the snappy truck for them unless they are not terrible price wise. be honest i haven't priced it because i haven't found it on their site! does wera/wiha have them in screwdrivers? i own both of their products--wera in tamper proof torx 6 point and wiha screw and nut drivers--love them both.

in case i am calling the bits by the wrong name, i need the 5 point torx that has the tamper-proof hole in the center.

I have Blue-Point 3/8 temper proof torx sockets. No hard use, but it gets the job done.

The Snap-on set is ungodly expensive, $315 or so if i recall correctly. I bought a new/used set but they seem scarce.

Facom are the only company i know of that make the screwdrivers, and i think Wiha make a socket driver set.

Wiha is the only game in town. That's what I bought. Bit set for about 20. Made in Germnay. Torx Plus Security is what it's called. You are supposed to need a license to buy them but you can get them on Amazon.

The reason they have 5 lobes is so that the regular six lobular Torx Security won't fit sloppily but enough to get the screw out.

Called 5 star bits. Most of the newer GM mass air flow sensors use 5 star fastners,a tamperproof 20.Chrysler uses them too.
