Well, we are getting close to closing on our "new" home..

Built in 2007 as a model home, sold in 2009 but never moved into, and now we are getting it.

So the garage floor is brand new clean.

The question is, if the concrete is "never parked on clean," how crazy do I need to get with the prep?

I'm going with Rustoleum and Behr concrete primer to go under it.

Thanks

I used the Quikcrete kits to epoxy my floor (I know you are going a different route), my house is a few years older than yours and lived in, so I spent an extra $10 for some more acid and took extra time prepping. Its easier to prep now then to have to redo work later on.

Prep the floor like you would any other. Though it is "brand new clean" as you put it, it still needs to be profiled for epoxy to adhere properly. Fortunately you get to skip the steps of cleaning grease spots, oil stains, and filling cracks :bounce:

Thanks Gents,

Looks like we are getting the keys Tomorrow (Friday), even though we don't close until Monday...

I get the weekend to "get 'er Done" before we move in...
