50 Amp circuit breaker , time delay ?

Looking for some help on a question. I was reading the input requirements on a Miller252 and say that is wanted a 50Amp time delay fuse or time delay breaker.

I have never seen a time
delay or slow blow type breaker.

Can anyone recommend a 50 Amp breaker for 230 for an application like a ESAB 280 or Miller 252 ? Also is this something I can get at home depot or lowes ?

I'm trying to get everything all wired up beforehand.

just get a normal breaker (the correct make and model for your panel) and you will be fine. All normal consumer breakers are time delay.

I've read that a 60amp is an exceptionable substitute. Any 50amp will work fine.

All circuit breakers are rated for the time it takes to break the circuit. An electrical engineer will design a circuit for a particular application and specify what spec breaker to use.

Most common circuits, say for a domestic situation, will be covered by standard breaker for that situation. For anything else then ask someone who knows.

typically fuses have blow curve characteristics. I would assume a breaker has similar; both of which are based on current and time, not just time.

Yes they are on a curve and for welding machine the breaker off the shelf is just fine.
