they go on sale on weekends? reason being id have to drive down across the border, want to time it right.

I own the red plastic handle set... i would much rather get the CMan pro striking pry bar set instead now... Not that much more expensive.

As part of a 4th of July sale, they had their regular red handled 3 piece pry bar set on sale, 50% off, for $19.99. Also ran a credit card promotion if you were accepted and charged the pry bars or anything else that day, another $10-15 off. It is conceivable if you did not have a Sears card, applied for one and were approved, the pry bars would be about $6 after tax. For a retail, non clearance steal, that's very hard to beat.
I bought the last set they had on display. For those who must know, they were USA made.

Well they are actually a lot more expensive, about double the price. I own both sets. I personally prefer the red handled ones more, but that is just me.

Picked up a set for $19.99 to replace cheap HF striking pry bar set (yellow/black rubber, not black hard handles). This was back in June though. Striking caps would be nice but maybe a deadblow will do if I need it. That and I can beat the **** out of the HF ones and not care.

BUT....Sears Canada DOES sell CANADIAN made Craftsman screwdrivers, even the torx set, scratch awl, and a really nice magnetic bit driver.

yes i agree i really like the screwdrivers, however its no trade off for what our neighbors to the south have available.

Very true...and when I recently (about a year and a half ago) discovered that Sears in the U.S. still sold U.S. made tools, I was like a kid in a candy store everytime I went in there...

Although, not so much lately as things are slowly changing to overseas, which forces me to search thru the the racks for the old U.S. stock.

I really wish Sears Canada would have stuck with carrying the same stock of Craftsman that Sears USA has.
