5000K or 6500K

Which T8 bulbs are you using? The 5000K at HD has higher lumen than the 6500K. I'm leaning toward the 5000K.

While I agree that the 6500 K is a blueish tint, it does work well to paint with it. I have used these bulbs in my paint area for a while now and can attest that they work quite well in that regard.

CRI was 85 on each. Lumens was higher on the 5000K, so I ended up going with the bulk pack of 10 5000K for $34.

BTW....nothing wrong with mixing them.

I like the 6500 out in the garage....but for the house it's too harsh...5000 is about as high as I will go...my wife prefers 2700.....so, in fixtures where you can't see the actual bulb I will sometimes mix them....
