I am in the planning stages for a new addition out back. I am not constrained on property layout so all comments are appreciated. My existing shop is 24D x 47W. I am wanting to stay at 900sqft in the build. The intent is to have a place I can put my completed hotrods. Also want to have a room sectioned off for paint and dirty work. I would like to have another small room for putting all the yard equipment and misc.stuff that I have to have but need out of the way of valuable floor space and wall space. Lastly I need a small bit of floor space to be dedicated for some workout equipment. My existing shop will be used for fabrication as it is already set up with all the equipment. I really like what Roger55 did with his and have based mine with the same concept he did. Here is a couple of floor plans I have sketched up to begin with so give me your thoughts while we are still on paper. Thanks, Buzz

Buzz,

Love your idea :thumbup::thumbup:, if you have the space and possibilities for it I'd say go for it.
Personally I like the first design the most, it looks the most like roger55's and I think that is one of, if not the, coolest on this forum, it inspired me a whole lot for my indoor TEXACO gas station.
Please keep us updated and good luck with your plans.

gr. Hugo.

You'll definitely want to check out Rogers build. He made his garage into a Texaco Station. I'll see if I can find it and post it here. I thought it was Roger1 but that's not his membership name evidently.

Found it. Roger55. This is the smaller thread though. I think he has a larger build thread on it. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8044&highlight=roger+texaco+station

Looks like you have a good drawing plan laid out. I wish I would've done that. Wouldve helped a lot when help came over. My gas station garage will kinda look like roger 55's. I found It after I designed up mine. Roofline is a lil different but I'll have two if not all three pumps out front and hopefully a oil pump as well. All takes time. Good luck on the build. It is a ton of fun to create something different from the ordinary!!! I'll watch this build..
