50's metal kitchen cabinets?

I remodeled a kitchen once and got a hole set for free. My Dad put them in his basement, hope the new owner didn't scap them!

This is the first time I've posted any pictures so not sure how they will come out. I bought these off Craigslist for 75$ but they sure needed ALOT of work. These are Youngstown kitchen cabinets.

I also am using youngstown cabinets, I bought a whole kitchen of CL for $300, need to paint them and install the SS top I have custom made for them and then figure out how to post pics

I have a few of those same Youngstown cabinets with the chrome handles as above. I also have a slightly different style with rounded corners. All the houses in my neighborhood had metal cabinets when they were built in the 50's. Need to get some pics.

I forgot. My cabinets are American Standard brand from Ohio. Many of the doors had serial number stickers.

Thanks! I painted them with an appliance paint, Biscuit is the color, didn't want them to be plain old white. The intake is for my 27 T Roadster project if I ever get it off the ground.... Going for a Y block, 4 speed and a Columbia 2 speed rear from a 39 Lincoln.

The 2 on the left are 14x6 ET's and the 2 on the right are 15x3.5 Fenton Gyro's or my Roadster..... Eventually.

This was an old kitchen sink base that was in an old house I was tearing down for a friend. He gave it to me and I put an extra wide top on it and covered it with heavy gauge galv. sheetmetal. Not a good pic but has three drawers on each side and double doors in the center. The finish was in very nice shape and it gets a lot of use. The cabinets are fireplace doors that I removed from new units to convert to gas logs (used to be in the heating trades) they were going to toss them so I built the boxes and after a little surgery mounted fireplace fronts to them. They have been up there for over twenty years and it's nice to be able to see everything that you store there. Free is my favorite price and it feels good to make use of something that was going to be discarded. Mike

I have about 25' of lowers with S.S. tops taken from a school remodel. Free
Check your local school system as some states require they resell back to public to make back some money. There are some good bargains, you just have to sort thru some junk.
I also got 12' of art cabinets 7' tall in the deal. Specs on most instutional products are better than normal products.

And I have one almost like that one. Has the same profile on top, doors that sit out from the cabinet a little, band around the bottom (mine's black where yours is silver), but my door handles are different. No idea on the maker, and where it's stored right now, I can't hope to get to it to look inside. I'll try to remember to look inside next time I dig into that area.

OK, I took a break to carry in some fire wood, and the curiosity was killing me. I knew there was a label inside my cabinet, but I could not remember what it said. I just HAD TO go and move enough stuff out of the way so I could check it out.

As you can see, I think it shares the same shape as yours, hcsi99.

Thanks Johnny. There used to be a guy near here that did house demos, and sold the stuff on ebay. I picked up a couple of useful items from him over the years. This was one of them. It was a bargain, and is a great place for storing manuals.

Those kitchen cabinets are very pretty. Actually, I'm looking for a kitchen cabinet design for remodeling my cabinets on my kitchen. These cabinets are enough for me to think ideas.
