I am sick and tired of working on my Trans am in a two car garage that i have to share and when it comes to my truck i have to work on it in the driveway cause its too tall or the garage is too short. I am planning on building a 50x100 shop/house. I will be living in this thing with my girlfriend i just want a small bathroom, compact kitchen, living room and bedroom. I would like to see your steel buildings inside and out so i have a idea of what that much space can be used for. Thanks Chuck

One of my friends in Mississippi built a 60 X 100 building and did what you are wanting. It worked out great. Just shy of half of the building is the apartment and the other part is for "stuff". They put a loft above the apartment for storage and built it strong enough to be a second floor of the apartment for the future. They had a big covered porch on one end as well. I don't have any pictures, but have been there several times and love it.

Good luck!

here's both of my shops... the small one is 28x43 and heated, the big shop is 45x60 and keeps my 5th wheel in there, left door has a four post lift and the center door right now has my 14' enclosed trailer in it..

Here's my 80x60 so almost the same amount of square footage you're looking at. I didn't build any interior spaces though.
