Like someone else said if you ever have to borrow anything get that. Otherwise I didnt see any crowsfeet or line wrenches (they may have been in the wrench drawer but on mobile I can barely see that.) Those could eat up that credit.

If you feel you are good for hand tools I would pick up any specialty tool you may need. I hate spending big bucks on a tool that gets used maybe once a month, but is absolutely essential when I need it.

What do you work on mostly?

Just bought a full set of SAE and Metric line wrenches about a month ago. (Gearwrench, have been really pleased.) I don't have any crows feet, may go gear wrench with those as well because I've been so happy with the flare wrenches.

I do need some larger sized wrenches but won't use them enough to justify Snap On prices for them.

Snap ring plies is a good suggestion. I have one interchangable set that wasn't pictured there.


I work on pretty much everything. In the shop now:

02 Beetle; Timing belt and turbo replacement.

84 Vette; Bunch of stuff

81 G20; 6.0 4l60E conversion

02 Wrangler; Full frame off

98 k1500; Ball Joints

75 Vette; full resto

Also work on Harleys

Shop owner covers all specialty tools, which is awesome.

Knipex plier wrenches are just *******. I'd personally buy out his special color hard handle ratchets and make a few bucks of selling them lol. Turn credit into funds I'd you can't find something must have.

Knipex plier wrenches are a definite need.

Have a toolbox cover, never use it.

like other's have said line wrenches, crow's foot line wrench's, forged snap ring pliers

but i dont see any impact swivel sockets in there i'm sure that could take your credit down to nothing in a matter of seconds! let us know what you pick up :beer:

I do have impact swivels. They're up against the front of my cart drawer. They are a mix of Snap On and Genius. I bought the set of Genius in 05 or 06 and if one breaks, I replace it with a Snap On. So far I've only replaced the 18 and that is because it was lost.

I've got a full set of GearWrech line wrenches and couldn't be happier with them. I've put a lot of torque on them with no rounding. I'll probably get the GearWrench crows feet to match.

So far, snap ring pliers (in green) and Knipex pliers wrenches are in my future. (I'll probably buy the pliers wrenches from Amazon though as it's half the price for the same tool. )

I also really need a new angle die grinder as mine crapped out recently.

My dealer beat Amazon on every knipex plier I asked about. Don't be afraid to haggle

I have a fairly serious weakness for SO 3/8" ratchets. For that kind of money, I'd be looking at a bent flex, an FLL, a shorty, and a shorty flex...


But I am NOT a professional tool user...

You win some you lose some. Lol i told my dealer that low process keep the Matco man away lol lol. I'm on friendly bs terms every personality is different. I well haggle him down low once or twice a month then buy something without even trying to bring him down. I've talked and looked and hassled over a pair of pliers over the course of a month lol eventually he gave in while laughing at how cheap i was being. Humor is your friend in haggling.

I'm honestly not very good at it. I pick things up, ask a price and then just set it Down if I find it to be too much for how often ill use it or significantly more than I can buy the exact same item somewhere else.

I love ratchets too but I don't even use all of the ones I have now. I use power tools as much as possible. Saves a bit of wear and tear on the body. I would like a stubby 3/8's though.

They have a slick new electric drill on the trick. I think the milwaukee m12 i just bought is better tho. If you do much metal work the snap on air drills are so very nice. Lol I could spend your money all day long, but I would be doing the same thing as you. I've gotmoney on Amazon that's been there for two months. In the cart or of the cart.

What kind of mechanic are you? What do you work on?

It looks like you have a good set of hand tools, now maybe you should consider service kits.

Somebody bought a ball joint removal kit the other day, and I watched the video. It was slick.

What and how I spend money like this is a function of how I came into that money.

If its something not really "free money" like it was a rebate or something, then I'll usually just chip away at it, buying tools I really need as I need them. So if this were the case, I'd just use it to buy whatever is on Promo and I need, etc..

If it was a "Gift From God" I'll usually use it to buy myself something I normally wouldnt have bought myself to begin with....in this scenario, I'd be texting my driver right now saying "Order the CDR7850HG" :bounce:

The shop owner a buddy of mine works at bought this & he invites us all over to check it out. Is it needed? Unless you do brakes daily probably no. But it sure is cool as hell and the one day you bleed anything you'll love it.

I know a poor college kid whose just donated a few hundred to the state of ohio (may or not be for a bit to much :3gears: ) who could use a torque wrench and a roller cab :lol:

If you need a right angle die grinder, it's hard to beat the PT110A. I sold the one I rebuilt (kept my PT110), but they are excellent quality and comfort.

Definitely want to fill out some of the trays better but my OCD forces them to all be the same brand. At least set to set. The 3/8" impact sockets are Matco, I wouldn't be able to handle the larger sizes being Snap On.

I have been eyeballing the angle die grinder. Been hoping they go on special with the straight grinder too.

I don't know how much since this will make but I've got a bunch of stuff and a good sized box like you but I've been looking at 0 degree ratcheting wrenches or the short S.O. sockets and thin ratchets for tight spots...slow down and think thru it and enjoy :)

Last year they had the PWZ0,1 & 2 on a promo sale (in green) and I snagged them...lemme tell you, those pliers are awesome. I think they are referred to as a Sweedish Pattern Pipe Wrench, long story short, the harder you pull the harder they bite. Hard to describe and "sell" you on a set..but I will say if you buy one, you'll love it.
