Hi everyone. I've been reading on these forums for years but haven't actually posted much. I am building my second shop now and wanted to post it up here and see what feedback I'll get. I have gotten so many good ideas from threads like this on other peoples shops I hated not to do it on mine this time.

My shop will be 52' wide by 60' deep, 16' side walls, 2x6 stick built on standard concrete foundation / slab.

I am not insulating the concrete, nor doing in floor heat. I just don't use the garage often enough in the cold to justify that. I may occasionally be there for a few hours but not consistent at all. I am leaning toward closed cell spray foam insulation just for the moisture and insect seal. Haven't decided for certain just yet.

The front wall will have three doors, 12x12, 12x12, 12x14. The building is basically going to be three zones. The front left is the car shop which should be roughly 36 x 40. Behind that the last 36x20 will be the wood shop. The entire right 16x60 will be basically a shed for RV / trailer and general storage.

I'm planning to post pictures of the plans but I don't know how to get a URL for the images.

Look forward to seeing the build and hope you don't have issues with moisture. My 40x64 has no issues, but buddy's 40x120 does. Both are 16 high

I sure hope I don't have any issues. My last one was 32x48x13 and didn't have much at all.

Whats your location ? Plans for AC or heat ?

Located in central Kentucky. Planning on possibly a mini split two head for AC/heat. I only plan to condition (occasionally) the car shop area and the wood shop behind that. I like the two head idea since I can do either area or both areas depending on what I'm up to at the time.

What is the little blue colored room?

Appears you are installing a loft over the woodworking shop. What is the ceiling height of the woodworking shop below?

The blue room is the bathroom.

I'm undecided about the loft. I could easily do mezzanine type storage with the 16' walls. I had considered doing drop heel trusses to drop the ceiling in the wood shop area to 10-12' and use the space above for a fairly large attic. I'm having my builder check on just running attic trusses the entire length now and I'll decide then.

In the drawings the back 20' has a ceiling height of 12'. I may just leave the whole thing at 16'. We have tons of attic in the house now and with the huge shed I hope not to need to take things up and down stairs.
