54" wide drywall?

Anyone know where to get 54" wide drywall without having to special order it? I'm near the southbay in Los Angeles, if it matters. It would save me a good number of seams on both ceiling and walls. I've checked online and even a couple indie building supply places only carry 48".
TIA!

A GOOD building supply house will be able to get it without special order. They might not have it in stock but it shouldn't be a special order. 54" is a pretty common size in commercial applications.

Check with a drywall supply company for that size.

On a recent project where we needed 4 1/2 foot sheets, I was referred to REW Materials, which I believe is in your area. They stock that width and even had better prices than the box store I use in my area. That size would have been a special order at the box store.

REW also delivered it into my garage for a very reasonable charge, which was basically covered by the cost savings over the box store prices. A pleasant surprise!

Good luck with your project.
