Ok we have a ton of emails asking how we are picking the winner, so here it is. We started out America Idol style with 3 – 5 judges and I would just go name by name and they would vote. The first vote was for no and maybes. After that we took a bit more time and turned maybes into either yes or no’s. If yes we then spent more time and did some research. We would check and see if the domain name was available and then if there was a current and valid trademark in place on that name.

We have received hundreds of ideas and spent hours looking into too many of them. Some of the potential toolbox names have been suggested over 70 times. With that said when we announce the winners please keep in mind that we stated from the beginning that in the event that more than one person suggests the same name, the first one submitted will be entered.

We have selected the 3 winning names. We just need a hour or 2 to make absolutely certain that the first person to submit a name is the winner for that name.

Now wondering if I should added "toolbox" to the end of my entries.

I thought the brand was going to be a daughter of Strictly Toolboxes, not a new domain!

Since I entered late, it looks like there's no chance for me to have won.

C'mon 2nd or 3rd place!

My suggestion was "citadel" with "armory" and "stronghold" as possibilities for a "citadel" product family.

Maybe go with the Fort theme and have a different Fort name for each sized box. (Probably leave out the Alamo)

global72, you should tally up the ten most popular names submitted and tell us how many times they were sent in. My guess would be they would all be names already in use, somewhere. It's hard to come up with something good for this that hasn't already been used or claimed at some point in the past.
