Hi:
I'm thinking of building a shed for scooters and small cars I have. I'd also like to put a 5HP 60 gallon 230V compressor in the shed. Because of site/cost considerations I'm purchasing a shed with a wood floor, 5/8 plywood on 2x6PT joists 8" on center.
I'm a little concerned that the compressor will vibrate out of its mountings so I'm thinking of laying additional plywood under the compressor.
Here are my questions: for people who have such large compressors, does this sound like it will be sufficient for long term mounting?
I also want to run air back to the house, which is about 40 feet away? Any suggestions on how to do this? I was thinking of running a 50' air hose through conduit adjacent to the electric run in the trench I have to dig anyway.
If anyone has experience / opinions about this I'd like to hear those too.
thanks
Shawn
