6, 10 or 20mm trowel?

I'm making a start on my garage floor tomorrow. I think I have all I need and have watched a few online videos of "how to".

There's no mention of trowel size though. I'm putting down ceramics on a 'fairly' even surface.

What's I've got by the way is:

Primer
Adhesive
Tiles
Spacers
Trowels
Bucket
Cordless with paddle for stirring mix
Tile cutter
Spirit levels

Any decent guides you can recommend as well would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the middle of laying them now. Seems to be going ok but I'm making a mess of face of tiles with adhesive. It wipes off easy but I'm finding I'm working too far then struggle to reach back to clean.

Tips?
