What's for guys who don't know when they've been handed the wrong filter for their car?

bob15 ur right i know what the wrong number is

Easiest way to do it: go to napa and buy their filters which are Wix....but before driving there, go here and get the correct filter number: http://www.wixfilters.com/Lookup/filterlookup.aspx

If you plan on keeping the vehicle for more a while, look at buying a case of filters. I find these two places very cheap, even after shipping for any type of Wix filter (air, oil or hydraulic).

Oh that's right the ss takes a high performance filter but the 6.2 truck is the same. Been at Toyota to long lol

Better yet, just have the dealer change it... Flame suit on...

I honestly did change the oil on all my vehicles. I still do it on my Audi and Diesel. But on my new F150 it is just as easy to drop it off at the Ford dealer across the street. They park it back in my spot at work and I either stop in and settle up or they send a bill.
