6-50-R wiring

I have Piped and mounted a 6-50-R receptacle located right under the service panel.

Question on the wiring:
Black from breaker to hot.
Red from breaker to other hot.
Green to the GROUND Bar.

All wire is 10g AWG.

Is this the correct way??
I should also mention this is a sub pannel. The main disconect is located outside next to the meter.

Breakers 20 to 50 are legal with this machine with that wire. A larger breaker would support a buzzbox type welder if needed but a 30 is tailor made for the 180.

That's what in there now doubble pole 30.
