6" Can light recommendations

In this thread the OP was asking for recommendation for spacing.

I have my space/layout determined, but looking for recommendation for 6 inch "can" lights.

Boxes to check- LED, Dimmable, Warm to soft white 2700-3000K, 65-100W equivalent

Things that don't matter to matter-Night light halo, adjustable coloring or colors, mounting-doesn't have to be cans, could be J boxes etc.

Recommendations?

I'm a big fan of the traditional recessed lights with a dimmable LED screw in lamp. All the box stores carry them in new construction and remodel. If using remodel cans, get a 6-3/8 hole saw, don't mess around with cutting them out with a drywall saw A lamp fails, install a new one. The trim rings start to turn yellow, get a new one. With the new high tech stuff, if one fails three years down the road, good luck finding an exact replacement. Either live with one that's close enough or replace everything.

This is the one I use the most Halo H7ICAT6100WB. Lots of different options for trims, bulbs, and LED retrofit trims. Even though it is insulated ceiling & airtight rated , If you do you use it an insulated ceiling go the extra mile and install a vapor tight box over it.

All the ones I have bought came with a J-box as part of the can. Old work cans just don't have the hangers, but clips instead. Probably the cheapest and most abundant fixture in the lighting section. Cases of 12 are common.

There are those "disc" lights that aren't really can lights but looks pretty similar to the trim kit of a can light? For those you just put regular electrical boxes in the ceiling and put the "disc" light on them. Not sure how pricing is compared to a regular can light.

Go to the Menards website and search for 6" LED Downlight. They sell different brands and styles.
I put a 4" version in my kitchen and love them. I think they were Patriot brand.
Put them on a compatible dimmer and put more in than normally used.
LEDs gradually lose brightness over time. For example some are half brightness after 50,000 hours of use. That would be 17 years assuming 8 hours a day.

Wafers come with a j box. I've used a lot them and greatly prefer the look of the ones that have a slightly recessed lens. Problem is that they are a little thicker and can't be installed right below a joist
