I am going to relight my shop. I can get a 6 lamp t8 32w fixture with chrome reflector from HD or a white reflector from Menards. What are the pros-cons of each. Will one be brighter than the other? I always thought I wanted the chrome ones but they are $20 higher.

The shiny ones will reflect more light down. It's worth the 20 bucks.

The "chrome" is actually a highly polished aluminum reflector. It is a dead giveaway that the fixture is a high bay fixture, designed to focus light downward with less spread. The same fixture with the white reflector is a wide light spread fixture.

Take the part numbers and look at the Lithonia web site.
