6-point box end wrenches in Europe

For anyone looking for these in Europe they are available from the Polish Topex group. Neo is their professional range. They have a 25 year warranty and are dirt cheap (as opposed to insanely overpriced Gear Wrench or Nepros, let alone shipping and import fees). I don't know about finish or tolerances, but they should be durable enough. I might give them a try and buy the 8, 10, and 13 mm wrenches.

Update: I ordered a few some time ago and they finally arrived. Apparently the retailer kept getting 12-point versions due to "similar article numbers". Anyway, they are here now and the 4 wrenches cost me like 12-13 € total incl. shipping which is dirt cheap.

It doesn't specify COO but they say they are made in Poland.

The first thing I did was measure tolerances and they range from 0.15 to 0.25 mm over. Not too bad but not great either. The open end tends to be more accurate than the box end. The 4-point surface contact of the open end is a useless gimmick which does the opposite of what it's supposed to.

Finish is barely acceptable. Seems to be a very thin layer of Chrome and nothing else a.k.a the typical Chinese coat.

Some photos I took (I really need a macro lens):

Would I recommend them? If you need a 6-point box end, absolutely. The brand in general? No.

Good to know there is a 6 point option out there. I think my quest continues for either a Japanese or Euro brand ideally.

I bought mostly Armstrong 6-point wrenches from Cripe Distributing. Looks like they are still available.

Note that the NAPA Pro, KD Tools and Allen brand wrenches all came out of the same factory as the Armstrong. At least the USA-made wrenches.

I could be mistaken, but looking at their product catalog causes me to think they're a repackaging outfit - along the lines of a Grainger - offering everything from 10mm combination wrenches to camouflage hunting tents to push brooms to garden cultivators.

Do they actually have any production facilities? The catalog illustrations just show big warehouses. I don't read Polska so I don't know what the catalog product descriptions are saying.

Nepros offer them.

Not the cheapest I’ll admit, but the fit is awesome.

If I’m needing a single hex, I’m probably needing it close fitting!

Have been eyeing those, if they had a normal KTC version I would already have them. Starting to appreciate satin finishes more oddly.

I have a full set of USA Crafstman 6 point metric and Imperial box end wrenches. They are very handy to have in certain situations. They've saved my *** several times when nothing else would work.

They should. They have multiple product lines, some of which are just Chinese rebrands. The Neo line has some unique designs. These are either made in their factory or custom made for them elsewhere.

Nepros offer them.

The most expensive of them all. They basically cost an arm and a leg. The cheapest (smallest size) was something like 40 bucks if I remember correctly, not to mention shipping and import.

Yes, sadly the price has gone up considerably since I purchased mine.

If you are in the U.K. or Europe, it doesn’t help that they insist on pricing them in U.S. Dollars, despite the fact they are sent direct from Japan to destination.

Having said that, if you compare “like against like” they are still cheaper than Snap On.
