Probably depends on what you're looking for. I don't know where to buy those sockets individually unless you buy the more expensive brands?

I've had no issues with harbor freight impact sockets and I work on heavy equipment for a living. For regular chrome sockets you need to spend some money but as far as impacts I've been quite impressed by the cheap ones

Buying sockets just to fill the posts or holes on a socket holder doesn't make sense to me, but to each their own.

Well, I apologize if that's not why you need them. But now I'm curious, what does one use a deep 1/2" drive 3/8" socket for? That socket on an impact sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.

its cool. im in the middle of buying the newer style impact thats the same size as the 3/8s drive ones so instead of buying all new set of 3/8s drive impact sockets im just going to buy the same impact gun in a 1/2 drive. such as a King Tony/m7 or the like impact gun.

im sure the 3/8 drive sockets are smaller overall, i dont work on things that would need every little bit of room. just the space i gain from a gun that small will be good. plus i dont want to spend the cash on buying all new 3/8 drive sockets which i dont have any of.
