60 Gal HF / Central Pneumatic Compressor - Noise Level

I saw on the web what some people were using for gun silencers and thought about using an oil filter as an air compressor intake silencer/filter. Made up a plate adapter with a 1"-14 thread and voila. It isn't a miracle, but does reduce the intake noise a bit. The oddest thing was standing in the Fleet Farm oil filter aisle sucking on all the filters to make sure they didn't have the one-way flap. I have no idea when the filter would need to be changed.

For what it is worth I think I bought it at master tool repair, or the other one that's very similar LOL
