I've been looking all over for instructions on how to run these in tandem? I guess adding a light to the wire diagram on the box will work, but I'd like to see it on paper. What are the orange plugs on the ballest for? Can those be used for tandem use? If so, is where can I order a kit to connect two lights?
There is a metal "coupler" that squeezes into the end of the channel to link two strips together. you use this instead of putting the end cap on. Then just join the blacks and whites together.
From your picture, I'm not able to see these plugs that you speak of, other than the yellow disconnects. Can you post another pic?
Also, there is a mysterious gray-ish wire on the ballast. That's your switch wire. It allows you to turn on/off two of the 4 lamps separately. I'd take advantage of that if you can.
